Summertime Boots

So, off the bat, Carolina uses the scuba liner to keep their boots waterproof, and it’s one of those features on all Carolina boots that I always hear guys bragging about especially in their loggers that the scuba liner has kept their feet dry and has kept their feet kind of warm.

Now you would think in putting together a list of summertime boots that that warm part might not be the best, but it’s really hard to argue when a boot is built this strong not to want to wear it through the summer.

Welted Construction

So it’s a fully welded construction all the way around. Carolina flips it over and stitches down the sole on the underside too.

Rubber Sole

Carolina uses their own sole. It’s a heavy duty single density rubber sole. So this boot carries an EH rating (electrical hazard). In between the upper and the sole you’re going to find a really nice touch.

Lineman shank

They use a lineman shank. So it’s a little bit wider, it’s a little bit longer, and it has zero memory. You can actually stand on the rung of a ladder all day, and it’s not going to telegraph through.

Leather

As always Carolina’s leathers are beautiful. Carolina really does a nice job when they’re sourcing their leathers. It always seems to be perfect and consistent. And the same thing goes for the stitching through all their boots.

It’s always really nice. It’s really nice looking, but it’s really nicely done. How they choose to piece their boots together based off of the stress points and the flex points on all work boots, Carolina has learned how to build a boot with all their years of experience.

Inside The 7528

Now, inside the CA7528, we shouldn’t be surprised that it’s really nicely built because of everything else that’s going on on the outside. So they use an AG7 insole, Carolina’s own insole which is a really nice polyurethane insole.

Inside the boot where that insole is, there’s this soft blue material that adds more cushion to your step.
And around the ankle and the tongue, it’s all padded. So when you have the upper all locked in there, you’re ankle is completely encased in this beautiful energy returning padding.

Eyelets

Eyelets, laces, and all that stuff, as always with Carolina boots, eyelets and laces are always going to be top-notch. They don’t skimp on things like that.

They realize that guys have to buy these boots for work boots and they need to be dependable. Single piece machine speed lace and regular brass eyelets that are fully through the back end.

Pull-On

On their boot pull on the back, Carolina uses a really nice soft suede leather on the inside and then puts a piece of polypropylene webbing on the outside. They stitch it down, and they stitch it in pretty deep down into there. So there’s no chance of you ripping that thing off.

Fit & Comfort

As for fit and comfort, well, the fit on this boot is a little bit on the big size. It’s a little long so try a half size down from your normal size if you’re trying them on for the first time. More than likely because of the composition toe and the tight heel cup, you’re probably going to go with your size.

But don’t be afraid to ask the sales clerk for a half size smaller so you can try on your size and a half size smaller. And, if it’s one of those self-help shoe places just pull a half size smaller if they have it and try it on.

So that’s the Carolina CA7528 comp toe, rubber sole, and beautiful heavy duty leather. If you’ve ever worn this Carolina or any Carolina products before please comment below, let guys know what you think about the whole Carolina line.
